Hi, I'm Jess. I've spent more than a decade working in marketing, helping brands grow, launch products, and build communities. But at the end of the day, I always found myself coming back to the same place: books. Like many romance and fantasy readers, I've spent more hours than I probably should talking about fictional characters, recommending books to friends, following authors online, and eagerly waiting for the next release in a favourite series. Because some stories don't end when you close the book. They stay with you long after the final page. Over time, I started noticing something: many indie authors were writing incredible stories, but they didn't always have the time, resources, or support needed to build a career around them. That's where my two worlds came together. Slow Burn Media was born from the idea of combining my experience in marketing, communications, and audience growth with my passion for publishing and for the stories that become more than just a book: a shared obsession, a community of readers, and a world people always want to return to. Today, I help romance and fantasy authors build sustainable careers, engaged communities, and story worlds readers keep coming back to. Because a book launch matters. But building a lasting author career matters even more.
